IAHS Scholarship Lottery Program

The Italian American Historical Society of Rhode Island (IAHS) awards scholarships annually to students of Italian American descent who demonstrate high potential and who intend on furthering their education full time at a U.S. college or university. To determine the winners, a scholarship lottery drawing will be utilized for applicants meeting all eligibility criteria.*

Two Categories of Scholarships for Students:

1. Graduating High School Students who have been accepted and enrolled into a college full time and meet all eligibility and application requirements
2. Enrolled undergraduate College students who plan on continuing their enrollment full time and meet all eligibility and application requirements

*Criteria for Eligibility:

Be of Italian American descent
Be a citizen of the United States
Be a member of IAHS or have a parent/guardian or grandparent who is a member of IAHS
Be enrolled in an accredited 4 year U.S. college or university program full time for the Fall of 2018
Have a documented minimum grade point average of 3.0
Complete and submit an application and meet all IAHS scholarship related criteria and deadlines

Amount and Intent of Awards:

There will be one scholarship awarded in each category in the amount of $2,000.00, for one year only, to be used to cover tuition, college room and board, and/or fees.
